Former Celtic striker Andy Walker has praised his old side's squad depth and also talked up forward Oh Hyeon-Gyu.

The South Korean scored his third goal for the Parkhead side during the recent 3-1 over Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership.

And Walker feels that being able to bring a player like the 21-year-old off the bench is a sign of how strong the Hoops squad currently is.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "We are beginning to see different options off the bench for Celtic. We can see what impact they have between now and the end of the season.

"It was game that was not going their way and he (Oh) came on and made a difference. As did the other sub, Sead Haksabanovic.

"When you look at Celtic and the way they change things from 60-70 mins in. You can see there is new lease of energy and they can get a job done in difficult circumstances."

Walker also vented his frustrations at the official's performance during the fixture.

The were several flashpoints during the match, including three penalties being awarded, one of which was overturned by VAR, and also a red card was shown to Hibees striker Elie Youan.

The on-loan forward was first booked for a challenge on Carl Starfelt and then given his marching orders after a tussle with Cameron Carter-Vickers.

And Walker feels that referee Steven McLean did not have a good afternoon.

"We had some decisions that changed the course of the match," he continued. "I hope we don’t get to see every tug of the shirt given as a penalty.

"I thought it was soft and Steven McLean didn’t have a good performance at all. I thought all the penalties were wrong.

"I thought the penalty Celtic were given was incredibly soft. There was no foul there from Hanlon on Carter-Vickers.

"The Abada one was a really poor call from the referee. He just stubbed his toe into the ground and it was not a penalty.

"That was a good use of VAR by overturning that.

"Overall, the yellow cards to Youan were outrageous. He did not deserve a yellow card for his first challenge and he certainly did not deserve the second yellow that led to him being sent off."
