When Rangers go to Pittodrie it's always a feisty encounter.

This weekend's match between Aberdeen and the Ibrox club promises to be no different, as the latest installment of the intense rivalry takes place.

Michael Beale will be looking for his team to delay Celtic's title win for as long as they can.

And with their Scottish Cup semi-final against the Hoops coming up next weekend, this game provides the perfect opportunity for his men to get right up for the challenge.

Barry Robson has the Dons motoring though, with six wins on the trot and their sights firmly set on securing third spot in the league.

Team news

Offering a squad update, Michael Beale said: "Wright will be back.

"Young Lowry is on that injured list. He’s not returned to training yet.

"He’ll return to light training tomorrow. But I'm expecting Scott Wright back yet.

"Connor and Ryan Kent will make next weekend. Tony will be touch and go."

For the hosts, they will be without Graeme Shinnie following his red card at Ross County last week.

The Dons failed in their appeal to overturn the sending-off. Their captain actually had his suspension increased from three games to four.
