Rangers under-18s got one back on Celtic after their derby day win this afternoon.

Just two weeks ago, it was the Hoops who emerged victorious in the Scottish Youth Cup final.

Both sides of Glasgow's divide served up an 11-goal thriller that night, with Celtic running out eventual 6-5 winners at Hampden to claim the silverware.

Today though, it was Rangers' young guns who earned the bragging rights with a comfortable 2-0 win.

Second-half goals from Chris Eadie and Findlay Curtis were enough to secure a 2-0 victory over their rivals during the showdown.

The kids from either team will be aiming to make their way into their respective club's B teams ahead of their third season in the Lowland League next term.

Meanwhile, Billy Dodds' Scottish Cup prayers have been answered as Inverness aims to up their preparations ahead of their showpiece showdown with Celtic.

Inverness will take on Ange Postecoglou's side on Saturday, June 3 at Hampden to fight it out for the final silverware of the campaign.

However, having not qualified for the Premiership play-offs, Caley Thistle suffered a blow in their bid to win the cup as it was confirmed they would go four-and-a-half weeks without a competitive game.

However, they have at least managed to find some opposition to help them prepare and maintain the players' fitness levels.

They will take on Dungannon Swifts this Saturday.

Boss Dean Shiels will help out Caley Thistle, with plenty still on the line for the Northern Irish Premiership strugglers too.

Dungannon finished second from the bottom of their league. They are preparing for a two-legged play-off with Warrenpoint as they bid to stay in the top flight.

An Inverness statement read: "Ahead of the Scottish Cup Final against Celtic on Saturday June 3rd, we’re delighted to announce we will face Dungannon Swifts in a friendly at Stangmore Park this Saturday away from home.

"Admission for the game will be £5 per person for anyone wishing to attend the match.

"We’ll have the usual social media coverage of the game on the official ICTFC social media feeds and website."
