Rangers could be due a cash injection with Ross McCrorie due to fly down south to secure his move from Aberdeen to Bristol City tomorrow.

The deal which is worth a reported £2 million will see Rangers receive a sell-on fee, implemented by Ross Wilson following McCrorie's transfer to the Dons back in 2020, with the initial loan move becoming a permanent deal in 2021.

McCrorie has had a successful spell down south before when a loan spell at Portsmouth earned him high praise.

Now, Rangers are set to land a £200,000 boost with a £2m fee reportedly agreed between Aberdeen and Bristol City.

This continues a busy summer for Rangers which has already seen Michael Beale taking steps to add to his squad, with 23-year-old defender Dujon Sterling signing from Chelsea last week, a move which has seen comparisons to the signing of Calvin Bassey from Leicester back in 2020, a free transfer which saw Rangers go on to net £19.6 million.

Meanwhile, Beale is hoping to have his summer signing bedded in at Ibrox for pre-season.

He previously said: "I think they’ve heard that every day for the past weeks. I think I’ve driven them mad a little bit since I’ve been the main person in control of recruitment and players coming on.

"A lot of the conversations have happened and I’ve been away meeting players in between games and training.

"We want players in before pre-season but we might have to be patient on one or two but we are aiming to get most of our work done quickly.

"We’re probably doing more work that you’d like to be doing, you’d like to add one or two but we are doing more than that."
