Gregory Vignal has left his youth coaching post at Dundee.

The Rangers hero was involved in the youth set-up at the club and managed the under-18 side at Dens Park.

However, he has revealed his exit from the club as he shared his thanks with the club for his time at Dundee.

It's unclear whether Vignal already has another post lined up following his departure.

But, Vignal is clearly planning to remain in the game having been selected for the French Pro Licence.

Once qualified Vignal would be able to manage a top-flight professional side or national team.

Vignal wrote on Twitter: "Time for me to move on!

"I really want to thanks DFC, the chairman, Gordon, Stephen all the academy staff members, the players & the fans.

"It has been an honor & a privilege for me to coach this football club.

"All the best.GV ⁦@DundeeFC"
