Glasgow Green has been "transformed" into a BMX Freestyle Park training arena ahead of the competition starting.
A section of the park in the East End has been turned into a BMX theme park by the Glasgow Life UCI Cycling World Championships team with a competition space for three of the four BMX disciplines; BMX Freestyle Park, BMX Freestyle Flatland, Trials.
The BMX Freestyle Park training got underway today, ahead of their World Championship competition starting tomorrow (Saturday, August 5) with the qualification rounds.

Tickets for the BMX Freestyle Park event are still on sale and can be found on the UCI Cycling World Championship site
Both the BMX Freestyle Flatland (August 8 to 10 ) and the BMX Trials (August 9 to 12 ) are non-ticketed events and are free to attend.
Bailie Annette Christie, Chair of Glasgow Life, said: “It is fantastic to see Glasgow Green transformed into such an exciting venue for the BMX competitions which get underway tomorrow along with the Road Races as part of a huge weekend of sporting action in the city.
“The GO LIVE! programme of free cultural and community participation events at the official fan zone in George Square and across the city, including a Community Day at Tollcrosss International Swimming Centre, will ensure there are ways for everyone, whether sports fans or not, to get involved, soak up the atmosphere and have some fun, whilst connecting with this world-class event.
“While an event of this scale - bringing a significant economic boost - will inevitably have some impact on daily life for a short time, there is lots of information available and we urge people to plan ahead.”
