Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski has revealed Ange Postecoglou launched into a furious half-time rant during the friendly against Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Spurs winger admitted the manager was "very angry" at the break with his side locked at 1-1 against the Ukrainian side in the pre-season contest.

Spurs would go on to win the match 5-1, but only after a serious talking to from Postecoglou who made his feelings clear at the break.

Discussing working under Postecoglou and the half-time team talk, Kulusevski said: "I like him a lot. Also at half-time, he was very angry because we stopped playing for five minutes and you cannot be like that. You have to play always.

"Just because you're tired, you [can't] let them have the ball. Things happen like that.

"So I like him a lot and I'm looking forward to improving under him. He said we always have to play. Don't shoot away the ball, don't stop pressing, don't waste time. Always play, play the same and don't think about the score or the time. Just play and have fun."

It comes after a video on social media showed Postecoglou in disbelief and furious with Spurs star Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg during the match.

The former Celtic manager could be heard shouting "Hojb, play. Play" as he implemented his style of play from the sidelines.

And Kulusevski admitted it will take time to fully adopt Postecoglou's style in North London but insisted he is "grateful" to have him as his manager.

He added: "Everything takes time in life. But the thing is we really, really have to believe in it.

"It's not enough if he's trying to make us believe. We all have to do it.

"But we're in a good way, I think. This was the first game when we played 90 minutes. We're happy, we ran a lot. It was quite good.

"It is fun actually. I love it. You have to be physically very good, I love that too. I'm enjoying having a lot of ball higher on the pitch. So I'm very grateful to have him."
