Unwanted ex-Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is negotiating with a number of clubs in Russia to relaunch his career, according to his agent.

The Colombian hitman is still without a club despite being available on a pre-contract since January and as a free agent since leaving Rangers at the end of last season.

He maintained last month that he was searching for a club at a 'top European league' and insisted he wasn't concerned about not getting a club.

Despite reported interest from clubs in Spain, Turkey, and England, he remains unemployed and he could now move to Russia, where he was previously linked with a move to Spartak Moscow in June.

His agent, Martin Camagno, said: "I am negotiating with several top clubs from Russia who are interested in signing Alfredo Morelos.

"There is a very strong championship in Russia, which Alfredo looks at with great admiration."

Morelos, who spent six years at Ibrox and scored 124 goals for Rangers, would have plenty of time to make a decision - the transfer window in Russia remains open until September 14.

Meanwhile, Nicolas Raskin has gone from one of the new faces to one of the most established players at Ibrox. In time, he is sure others will follow his lead.

The Belgian made an instant impression when he made the move from Standard Liege during the January transfer window.

Alongside Todd Cantwell, he provided a much-needed lift in the changing room and in the stands before the individual positives were enveloped by the collective failings at the end of the season.
