Ange Postecoglou may have earned plenty of praise for the job he carried out as Celtic manager.

But all of his work north of the border counts for nothing now that he's in the Premier League.

That's the view of former Hoops midfielder Roy Keane.

The 57-year-old today officially became the first Australian to manage in England's top flight, with Tottenham in action against Brentford.

He joined Spurs in June after delivering the treble for Celtic. His first day in charge of the club was on July 1.

During his two years spent in Glasgow, Postecoglou won five out of six domestic trophies available to him, with his attractive brand of football winning the hearts of many.

However, ahead of his first matchday as a Premier League boss, Keane had a blunt, honest message for the ex-Hoops gaffer.

He said: "There's got to be winning in football We have been critical of Spurs over the last few years, need and tidy but they don't get enough results.

"Not strong enough, not hard enough, not consistent enough. He is obviously a very positive coach and is attack-minded but getting results at Celtic would mean very little when he comes to the Premier League.

"It will be very difficult and has lost his main attacking player. But give the man an opportunity, he's vastly experienced and managed hundreds of games, but it is going to be a tough ask for him."
