Kieran Tierney has agreed an Arsenal loan exit to join Real Sociedad, according to reports.

The Scotland international hasn't been involved for Arsenal in the past two Premier League matchday amid speculation over a summer exit.

Tierney had been heavily linked with a move to Newcastle United with Celtic also touted as a possible loan destination.

However, the former Parkhead full-back has now "accepted" a move to Real Sociedad on loan - Fabrizio Romano has reported.

The transfer insider claims a deal has been "verbally agreed between Arsenal and the La Liga club with a medical to be scheduled in the near future.

Real Sociedad will cover Tierney's wages until June but will not have an option to buy Tierney as part of the loan deal.

Quizzed on a potential move for Kieran Tierney, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers said yesterday: "Listen, I would never speak about Kieran Tierney other than the time I had him here.

"He is an Arsenal player and that is where he is at.

"For himself Kieran will want to play, he is not a young player anymore.

"He is a player that will want to play football no doubt, especially where he was at with Arsenal for his first couple of years. At times he was captaining the club.

"They have a really strong squad. Mikel has done a fantastic job there, but for Kieran himself I am sure he will be looking to go out and play.

"That is the way I would see it."
