The focus in Scottish football this midweek is firmly on the League Cup.

There are three tasty all-Premiership last-eight ties taking place on Wednesday night with a place at Hampden in the semi-finals on the line.

Hearts were the first team to reach the last four after a late goal from Rangers loanee Alex Lowry knocked out Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Meanwhile, Michael Beale will be gunning to win his first trophy as Rangers manager. They face Livingston at Ibrox in their quarter-final tie.

Nick Montgomery is undefeated in his two games as Hibernian boss so far, earning a draw at Kilmarnock and at home to St Johnstone. They face a tricky challenge against high-flying St Mirren, who have already beaten Hibs at Easter Road this term.

Last but not least, Aberdeen will make the journey north to face Malky Mackay's Ross County.
