Scotland produced a stunning injury-time comeback to secure a point in Tbilisi this evening.

The Georgian curse was broken by Lawrence Shankland who netted with moments to go to seal a 2-2 draw for Steve Clarke's men. Scotland McTominay scored Scotland's first.

Here's how the players rated...

Zander Clark 5

His first start for his country. Questionable positioning for the opener – there was plenty of space to aim for at the near post. Made a good save on 24 minutes. Will be disappointed with Kvaratskhelia’s second. The shot wasn’t in the corner and probably should’ve been stopped.

Nathan Patterson 5

Was clearly eager to show the manager what he’s capable of with Aaron Hickey absent. Did okay, but had a tough evening trying to deal with Kvaratskhelia who got the better of him on a few occasions.

Ryan Porteous 6

Couldn’t quite manage to cover his centre-back partner McKenna for Kvaratskhelia’s first goal. Tried his best to get a block on the shot. More experience under the belt.

Scott McKenna 6

Stepped forward at the first goal, which led to the defence being left with gaps all over the shop. Pretty poor being dragged towards the ball. The whole defence clearly adapting to the four at the back formation.

Greg Taylor 6

Celtic left-back was unable to intercept the pass out wide in the build-up to Kvaratskhelia’s finish at the first. He really ought to have managed. Committed.

Billy Gilmour 6

Endured a difficult first half in midfield. Couldn’t quite get going the way he usually does in a Scotland shirt. Suffered from some niggly fouls that went unpunished by the referee. Still, he always looked to receive the ball.

Callum McGregor 7

Made some decent third-man runs forward after some neat play in midfield but his teammates couldn’t pick him out. Always good on the ball.

Scott McTominay 8

His astonishing goal return continues. Seven goals in seven qualifying matches for the Manchester United player. A good strike, which took a slight nick, to wrong-foot the keeper.

John McGinn 7

Creative in the final third as per, flashing dangerous crosses in front of goal. No clear-cut opportunities for the talisman, though.

Ryan Christie 5

Picked up several good positions but his final pass was missing. Unlike him. One thing about him though, he never stops trying, which is a sign of his confidence.

Lyndon Dykes 6

Couldn’t quite guide his header into the far corner in what was a big chance for Scotland. Forced a good save from their keeper in the second half.

Lewis Ferguson (for Christie, 46’) 5

Right move by Clarke to bring on the Bologna midfielder at the break. Mainly operated on the right of midfield and showed flashes of his ability. Header straight at the keeper.

Kenny McLean (for Gilmour, 46’) 5

Assist for the equaliser. Eventually shifted to left-back as Scotland pushed for a second.

Stuart Armstrong (for Taylor, 78’) 7

Floated some nice crosses in. Great assist for Shankland. Bright.

Anthony Ralston (for Patterson, 78’) 4

Like for like swap.

Lawrence Shankland (for Dykes, 85’) 8

On to chase a goal – and he delivered. What an impact.
