Former Rangers winger Ryan Kent has reportedly had his contract with Fenerbahce frozen.

It's claimed that the Turkish giants have made the move after the 27-year-old rejected several offers to leave this month.

The ex-Gers star moved to the Istanbul side in the summer after his contract at Ibrox expired.

Things haven't worked out for the one-time Liverpool prospect though, having started just eight games for the club.

He's been linked with Championship moves to Cardiff City and Hull City. It's said that Dinamo Zagreb were also interested.

Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq had also reportedly struck an agreement with Fenerbahce for Kent, said to be worth £3.4m.

However, none of the moves have materialised for the player who hasn't featured in the first-team squad since November having been frozen out.

And that's not the only thing that's been frozen now, according to TRT Sports.

They say that Fenerbahce has frozen Kent's contract after he knocked back the chance to move on in January, despite the club accepting offers.

It's the latest twist in a dramatic saga, with the player believed to want away from the Turkish outfit.

Kent was a fans' favourite during his time in Glasgow. He was part of the 2020/21 Premiership title-winning side. He also played a major role in helping Rangers reach the Europa League final in 2022.

Dessers has scored three goals in his last three matches, taking his total to 12 for the season.
