A new Rangers signing is living his childhood dream as he shared an old photo of himself wearing the club colours.

The Ibrox side recently signed Ivorian midfielder Mohamed Diomandé in a £4.5m transfer deal from Danish club FC Nordsjaelland.

And it appears the deal was written in the stars as the 22-year-old showed himself to be a fan of the club long before he signed.

Glasgow Times:

In a video shared by the club on Instagram, Diomande unveiled a photo of himself as a young boy wearing a Rangers top.

The club shared the clip alongside the tune of Take Me Home by Giulio Cercato.

Fans quickly jumped to the comments where they agreed Diomande's signing was 'meant to be'.

Glasgow Times:

One wrote: "He’s one of our own."

A second said: "It's like it was meant to be!"

A third agreed: "Some things are just meant to be!"

Speaking about Diomandé's arrival, Rangers boss Philippe Clement previously said: “I am really pleased to have been able to add Mohamed to our squad, and I am excited to see what he can bring to our team.

“In our conversations and what I have seen of him as a player, I believe he will be a real asset to us, not only in what remains of this season but in the seasons to come also."
