Cameron Carter-Vickers is reportedly in line to make his Celtic injury comeback this weekend.

The centre-back has been sidelined through a hamstring injury he suffered last month.

However, The Scottish Sun claims Carter-Vickers, 26, could return for Celtic against Motherwell on Sunday.

It's reported the American international was given the go-ahead to train this week after three weeks of intensive treatment.

And as a result he is now ready to feature for Celtic at Fir Park this weekend should Brendan Rodgers decide to throw him back into the matchday squad.

Rodgers previously voiced concerns over players aggravating injuries with quickfire returns meaning a delayed return to action could be preferred.

But the report suggests Carter-Vickers has had no issues since returning to full training alongside his Parkhead team-mates.

Meanwhile, young defender Bosun Lawal has been tipped to make it at Celtic by Charlie Adam.

The former Rangers player is Lawal's manager at Fleetwood Town. Lawal had joined Fleetwood when Scott Brown was in charge.

And Adam has been impressed by the defender since taking over at the club as he tipped Lawal for a bright future in the game.

He said: ”He was the best player on the pitch. Unfortunately, he’s not our player, he’s a Celtic player, but it’s a real privilege to have him.

“He’s a quality player; he dominated the game. His strength, his power, and it was an unbelievable strike. The longer he’s in the building for us, from now until the end of the season, he will definitely make a difference to our team.

“He’s a top talent, but hopefully, with the journey we’re on and the support that we can give him, he goes back to Celtic next season, and he goes and competes for a position because I believe he’s got the right credentials to be a Celtic player.”
