Celtic has revealed a huge update on the club's brand new 'state of the art' training centre in Glasgow.
The club recently took to social media to announce that work has begun for the new centre at Barrowfield.
According to the team, the new 'world-class facility', which was once the training ground for the Lisbon Lions, will be the base for the Women's first team as well as both Boys' and Girls' Academies.
Part of the multi-million-pound project, the new facility is aimed at developing Celtic stars of the future and aligning 'the club with the world's best'.
In a video on social media, the Glasgow side showed that work in the area is well underway.
Chris McCart, Head of Academy at Celtic said: “This is the biggest investment and development since Lennoxtown and it’s one which the Academy is very excited about.
“It’s going to be a boost for all our young players coming through the club.”
Meanwhile, Elena Sadiku, Celtic FC Women's head coach also revealed she is excited about the new facility.
She said: “It’s going to be easier for me to sell this idea of how we want to be as a club, our vision, and help them to achieve something.
"It’s going to be incredible when it’s done.”
The club revealed the new training centre will open later this year.
