Philippe Clement has defended Don Robertson's call to postpone the match between Dundee and Rangers as the "right decision".
The Ibrox boss was left disappointed over the late call-off just 90 minutes before the scheduled Scottish Premiership fixture.
And Clement bemoaned the match being the sole call-off in Scotland despite also being selected for live Sky Sports coverage.
However, the Belgian took no issue with Robertson's decision to postpone the match as he defended the decision despite his disappointment.

He told BBC Scotland: "I understand the referee. Totally, he made the right decision.
"You cannot play football on this surface. I think it is clearly in the rules of football that if you throw a ball in the air and it doesn't bounce, you cannot play a game.
"And then we don't even speak about the safety of the players. You cannot have any stability on this field at this moment.
"It is a strange thing to have this. I understand if it is two, three weeks constant pouring rain but after maybe one night of rain to have these circumstances means there was already a problem."

Clement added:Ā āIt is really dangerous for injuries. We can say, yes, 50 years ago or 60 years ago football was played on these kind of pitches. And thatās true.Ā But there has been an evolution as in those times they also played the game with laces in the football.
āI think itās a very important thing for the future that a league thinks about how to raise the level of the pitches and put standards on that like they do on other things. They have standards with things like lighting, for example, to have a good broadcast of the game and to have a good product.
āSure, the lights are really important. But even more important is the quality of the pitches, I think.ā
