This is the moment Ianis Hagi embraced Rangers supporters after Romania's friendly against Northern Ireland.

The Ibrox midfielder was serenaded by Rangers fans inside the ground at full-time of the match that finished 1-1.

A short video clip on social media shows Hagi walking round the advertising boards to thank supporters for their Rangers chants after the match.

Hagi - who had a huge smile on his face - hailed the fans as "legends" as he took time to shake hands and greet the supporters.

It comes after Hagi dropped a major hint on his Ibrox future as he admitted he plans to stay in Spain after his loan spell at Alaves.

Asked whether he expects to be in Spain next year, he said: "Yes, it is where I want to be.

"It is the football in which I want to grow, it is the football that I believe can unlock the best version of me.

"I've only been here 6-7 months and I already feel like I'm a better player, I'm growing every day, in training and in games.

"I see progression every day and I believe that in the near future my best qualities will be unlocked and I will show everyone who I am."

However, Hagi reserved praise for the incredible Rangers support as he reflected on his experiences at Ibrox.

He said: "And at the international level, obviously I would say Rangers until now, because it is where I have had the most success individually and collectively, I had two great coaches there, football legends, and we had a lot of success together there and, also, the love of the fans. is incredible.

"The stadium, the support wherever you are in the world is just crazy. Playing for Rangers is a lot of pressure and responsibility, but if you do well they make you feel like a king there, so I'm very grateful."
