Celtic could be set to be priced out of the market after Saudi Arabian moneybags Al Ahli enquired about Turkish No.1 keeper Ugurcan Cakir.
The Trabzonspor shotstopper has been linked with a £7.5 million move to Celtic, this summer, with the Hoops looking for a replacement for former England keeper Joe Hart.
However, it was reported that Trabzonspor are looking to closer to £12 million for the 28-year-old keeper, who has won 27 international caps and has been with his club for ten years.
Now Jeddah giants Al Ahli have entered the race and would have no problem finding the money to meet Trabzonspor's asking price for Cakir.
Cakir has previously been linked to clubs in Europe, with Bordeaux interested last year, but has remained in Turkey with Trabzonspor.
But he's decided to move away from the troubled world of Turkish football, with a fan attempting to challenge him on the pitch last week during a game against Konyaspor.
Al Ahli's German boss Matthias Jaissle is an admirer of Cakir and could make his move this summer with money little object to the Arabian club.

Meanwhile, Kieran Tierney has credited Celtic for leaving Ibrox with a point on Sunday as he backed his old club to pip Rangers to the Scottish Premiership title.
Tierney, 26, has been watching from afar since leaving in 2019 and reckons the 3-3 Glasgow Derby thriller last weekend was one of the best matches he's seen.
The result kept a single point between the city rivals in the league table with season soon coming to a climax.
Celtic fans weren't permitted inside the stadium, which Tierney points to making the outcome at Ibrox more credible despite Brendan Rodgers' men squandering a 2-0 lead.
