Play had to be halted during the Scottish Premiership match between Aberdeen and Celtic due to a medical emergency.

Medical staff from both clubs attended to a supporter in the stands on Wednesday night.

The match was delayed after 35 minutes before being restarted six minutes later.

The nature of the medical emergency is not clear.

Aberdeen posted on X: "A stoppage in play at Pittodrie to treat a medical emergency in the stand."

A line in the Celtic website live blog coverage added: "The medical staff of both teams are currently dealing with a medical emergency in the stands, with the play still being delayed."
