Jack Butland's Rangers career is reportedly hanging in the balance.
It comes amid Russell Martin's hunt for a new goalkeeper.
The Ibrox club have been linked with a move for Brighton and Hove Albion's Carl Rushworth.
A report from SunSport, however, claims a deal for the 24-year-old is 'unlikely'. They state that Martin is looking for loan alternatives, which is said to 'cast a big question mark' over the future of Butland whose time at Rangers is 'hanging in the balance'.
The Englishman joined the club in the summer of 2023 under Michael Beale.

Although he stood out in his first year in Govan, he eventually lost his place in the team to Liam Kelly towards the end of last season.
Kelly then started Rangers' first pre-season friendly at the weekend, as they drew 2-2 with Club Brugge at Ibrox.
Martin provided an update on potential incomings post-match: "I expect the team to look different again, the squad to look different in a week's time, but in a couple of weeks, so much can happen in football, so I don't know," the 39-year-old said.
"So, I think we are, we're definitely want to do more, for sure.
"And also probably some players need to to move on as well at some point because the squad's going to start looking very big and very heavy.
"I don't know is the answer, but it will definitely look different in a week's time."
