Lyall Cameron admits he can't believe his luck after becoming a Rangers player.
The diminutive midfielder has been waiting since January to officially be part of the squad at Ibrox after signing a new contract while still a Dundee player.
He's now in the building doing a pre-season with his new teammates. It is all a bit of a shock.
The 22-year-old admits he would never have foreseen himself ending up at such a big club, even as recently as two years ago.
He said: “In all honesty, I probably didn’t think I’d get to this point.
“I thought I was coming towards a time where it was now or never for me.
“But I got lucky with a couple of breaks and took my opportunities when they came along.
“Now, I am where I am. But if I’m truthful, I didn’t think I’d get here. If you’d said two years ago that I’d be signing for Rangers, I wouldn’t have believed you.
“I’ve always been confident in my ability as a footballer. But when you’re having bad spells at a club, you think: ‘Am I what I thought I was’?
“So you start to rethink it. But it all comes down to just working hard every day and that’s what I did - when I was on loan or back at Dundee.

“I worked as hard as I possibly could - and it has paid off in the end.
“That’s the thing with a lot of young players. They go through a bad period and fall by the wayside.
“Obviously a lot of people doubted me. But thankfully, I managed to keep going and I’ve got my reward.”
Cameron has done part of an Open University degree in Maths and Economics but that is on hold now he is a player in Glasgow's goldfish bowl.
But he is certain he will go back and complete it at some point.
“It’s still ongoing for me," he said. "I’ve just taken a break from it this year.
“With the Open University you can pick it up whenever you want. I’ve been pretty busy with a lot going on! But I’ve done two years’ credit and I can start it again whenever I get the chance.
“Has my attitude changed on that? No, it’s still the same because you never know what’s going to happen.
“I never want to get too ahead of myself. I’m not suddenly thinking I’ve made it because I’m at Rangers now, that’s not the way it is.
“I still need to make an impression here and become a key player. That’s my goal.
“But I’ll definitely pick up the university stuff at some point in the future.”
