Celtic's Adam Montgomery to join Premiership club on loan

The 23-year-old, who has had loan spells at Queen's Park, Aberdeen, St Johnstone, Motherwell, and Fleetwood Town, will join David Martindale's side for the season.

The Daily Record claims the left-sided player had significant interest from both England and Scotland, but was convinced to join the Premiership returnees.

Montgomery, who has two years remaining on his Parkhead contract, will help Livingston's battle to avoid relegation.

The report also reveals Livingston's plans to sign Hearts midfielder Aidan Denholm and former Willem II striker Jeremy Bokila on loan.

Montgomery has been involved in pre-season with Rodgers' first team and started the friendly against Queen's Park.

He was also listed as a substitute for matches against Cork, Sporting Lisbon, and Newcastle.

The loan move marks Montgomery's sixth temporary exit from Celtic.
