Clinton Nsiala snubbed a deadline-day move from Rangers to Dynamo Kyiv.
The centre-back had a loan offer from the Ukrainian side but decided against the move.
Rangers were willing to sanction the temporary exit and accepted the bid, but Nsiala chose to stay.
The 21-year-old could still depart Ibrox on loan, with interest from Belgium.
He had been linked with Anderlecht, KV Mechelen, and Zulte Waregem.
Nsiala joined Rangers in the summer of 2024 from AC Milan, earmarked by Philippe Clement as a future prospect.

He made 13 appearances last season, showing promise but also struggling in certain games.
The Frenchman is not in Russell Martin's plans after the new manager brought in centre-backs Emmanuel Fernandez, Derek Cornelius, and Nasser Djiga.
Despite this, Nsiala remains committed to finding the right playing opportunity for his development.
