I spoke to Rodgers for inside track on issues with Celtic

The Celtic boss's last two league games in charge of Celtic ended in defeat.

His final match was a 3-1 defeat at Hearts which saw the champions fall further behind at the top of the table, at the time.

Before that, they'd lost 2-0 at the hands of Dundee.

Days before they had beaten Sturm Graz on European duty.

Pressley says Rodgers is a manager he has a lot of time for and the pair spent some time together over a coffee.

The former Parkhead defender told The Scottish Sun: "He's a hugely experienced manager, and actually Brendan was in my office prior to the game. We sat and had a coffee because he's a manager that I do admire and he's got a wealth of knowledge.

"So we spoke for some time, and I could sense when he was in my office prior to the game that there was some frustrations, that he wasn't entirely happy about certain things.

"So, was I absolutely shocked by that? Not completley. I think he had a number of issues and concerns. But let's not forget what a good job he did."

Pressley's side delivered a 2-0 victory against the champions.

It was also the day Rodgers compared his squad to a Honda Civic and a Ferrari, which many considered a critical moment in assessing player performance.

The match saw defender Clark Robertson lead with the opening goal, followed by an own goal by Celtic star Cameron Carter-Vickers, cementing the win.
