Rangers will pay around £400k as a transfer fee for Lyall Cameron.
The midfielder, now on loan at Aberdeen, signed a pre-contract with the Ibrox club last season.
Rangers and Dundee had engaged in discussions to try and thrash out a fee for Cameron but ended up going to an SPFL tribunal to determine the compensation figure.
As first reported by The Rangers Review, it's understood Rangers have been informed they will have to stump up the fee in the region of £400k for Cameron.
A final offer from Ibrox chiefs before the tribunal is believed to have been around £300k.
The SPFL compensation ruling, almost a year on from Cameron's pre-contract agreement, is final and neither club have the right to appeal the decision.

It comes as Danny Rohl admitted he is keen to further strengthen his squad in the January transfer window.
He said: “I think you can imagine I knock every day on the door of the recruitment and ask something new, but we’ve made a good job so far.
“It’s good to have these three players here, and then it’s about timing now.
“We have a clear idea, and now we have to wait, maybe there’s a domino (effect) on the other club, and then we can take this opportunity for us.
“But this is now the next seven to 10 days, we have to be ready when we have to be ready."
