A former Rangers defender has inked a deal with Airdrieonians.
Adam Devine, an Auchenhowie academy graduate, left Ibrox last May, and has embarked on a fresh start in the Scottish Championship, on a deal until the end of the season.
His move marks his return to football after an eight-month hiatus.
Across his career, Devine has gained experience on loan with Queen's Park, Brechin City, Partick Thistle, and Motherwell.
For Rangers, he made 11 first-team appearances, making his debut under the management of Michael Beale.
This new chapter at Airdrieonians provides Devine the opportunity not only to reignite his career but also to aid The Diamonds in their bid to stave off relegation to League One.
He said: "I’m delighted to be here and I’m grateful for the opportunity.
"I can’t wait to get started, and I look forward to getting out there to showcase what I can do in front of the fans."
With Airdrieonians presently sitting at eighth in the second-tier standings, Devine’s addition could be key to their survival battle.
They are four points ahead of Ross County, the bottom club, who have two games in hand.
In addition to Devine’s signing, Airdrieonians have also bolstered their defensive line with Charlie McArthur, a youngster from Newcastle United’s Under-21 team.
Centre-back McArthur joined the Premier League side in 2022 from Kilmarnock.
