Ross McCormack believes Celtic may lose out on Motherwell's Jens Berthel Askou.
He says the manager's success this season could interest Premier League clubs.
The Danish boss has turned Motherwell into "potential dark horses for the Premiership title."
Askou has been linked with the managerial post at Parkhead, currently helmed by Martin O'Neill on an interim basis until summer.
However, McCormack, sharing his thoughts on Open Goal, suggested Askou is unlikely to accept the Celtic offer.
He said: "I think he turns it down.
"I think he goes bigger than that.
"I'll have a wee bet with you, I bet he goes to the Premier League before he goes to Celtic.
"I think the fact that Celtic haven't got it done now, they are losing out on him.

"He doesn't care about this league.
"He's going to get an offer from the Premier League and be like everybody else and just leave."
Askou's tenure at Motherwell has seen him play free-flowing, attacking football.
McCormack's comments highlight attention from the Premier League that could see Askou leave Scotland.
