Findlay Curtis has disclosed that his mother's pride brought her close to tears after his Scotland squad selection.
The young Rangers winger, presently on loan at Kilmarnock, earned his spot in Steve Clarke's squad for friendlies against Japan and the Ivory Coast for his Rugby Park form.
The under-21 cap shared how Kilmarnock manager Neil McCann called him to say he was being considered for the senior squad, followed by a subsequent call to confirm his spot.
Curtis then shared his thrilling news with his family, evoking an emotional response from his mum.

He told Killie TV: "It's unbelievable.
"I didn't expect it at such a young age, but it's a dream come true and I can't wait to get going.
"I got a call yesterday from the gaffer here and he said 'you are in consideration for the (Scotland) set-up'.
"I was sitting thinking to myself: 'This is mental'.
"He then phoned me and told me I was in the squad and I was just bursting with pride.
"I told my mum and dad and my mum started crying.
"It's huge."
Curtis attributes his call-up to getting out and playing football.
"Getting out and playing football has been massive for me and that's a factor in getting this call-up," he added.
"I will keep working hard and see what else can come."
Playing regular football has helped Curtis celebrate his breakthrough into the national setup.
His form at Kilmarnock has caught the attention of Scotland boss Steve Clarke, allowing him the potential to make his Scotland debut during the upcoming friendlies.
