Celtic are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur's Alfie Devine.

The 21-year-old midfielder, who has a year left on his contract with Spurs, was on loan at Preston North End, where he scored eight goals and provided six assists last season.

Preston have an option to buy Devine for £6 million, which would be double their record transfer fee.

However, according to Football London, they face competition from Celtic and Wolves.

Other Championship sides with Premier League aspirations are also reportedly interested.

Devine is unlikely to sign a new contract with Spurs.

Before his loan at Preston, Devine had spells at Port Vale, Plymouth, and Belgian side Westerlo.
