I’m sure there would have been a few people getting excited about the sight of Kieran Tierney back on the training ground, but I think it is still very early days for the fullback. And the last thing you want to do is rush him back too soon.

It has been a shocker of an injury list and getting players back would definitely alleviate some of the pressure.

But I also think that when you have so many games coming up that you need people to be willing to play through the pain barrier. I don’t think I ever played 100% fit.

I always had a sore, back, a sore knee, sore ankles. But sometimes – and I am not talking about putting your long-term health at risk – but you need to be willing to stick your hand up and tell the gaffer that you’ll play.

I don’t know if any of them will be fit for Wednesday night’s game against Hibs but I think this week could be huge in terms of the Championship race.

Aberdeen will fancy themselves more than capable of taking something off of Rangers on their own turf and there is never any love lost between the two teams up there. It will be an exciting evening but while I think that Celtic will have one eye on it, they can’t afford to go looking over their shoulder just now. I don't think it is a game that Rangers can afford to lose at Pittodrie but by the same token, Celtic don't have enough of a cushion that they can afford to take their foot off the gas.

The Hibs players have been through the mill in recent weeks and they will feel as though they have a point to prove.
