BRAEHEAD CLAN have netted another winner after signing up the Evening Times as their latest recruit.

In what will be a deal running into its third year, we can announce a media partnership between the two parties has been struck for the forthcoming season.

As well as bringing you match reports, previews and exclusive interviews, a regular Braehead Clan Facebook show will be launched to bring the Purple Army the latest from John Tripp and the team.

Keep an eye out on the Evening Times for competitions for tickets and much more, and subscribe to our Evening Times Facebook page for more information.

Stewart Weir, Head of Sport at the Herald and Evening Times, said: “Since coming to the company a year ago it was clear from the outset how valuable a partnership this was with Braehead Clan.

“Over the last season, I’ve enjoyed watching Braehead be a key part of new innovative ways of bringing content to our readership both online and print. I’m looking forward to continuing that.”

Scott Mullen, Deputy Head of Sport, added: “Over the past five years covering Braehead has become a really key part of not just my remit but the sport section of the Evening Times. Our partnership has grown and grown and hopefully the Clan fans will agree our coverage of the team has increased with the club’s stature.

“We have a number of exciting ideas of different things we can through social media and video to supplement the bread and butter coverage in the paper. We will also be teaming up with Braehead to bring fans the chance to win tickets and prizes.

“Extending the deal was a no brainer and everyone at the Herald and Times wishes John and the team every success for the forthcoming campaign.”
