Scottish sailor Lorenzo Chiavarini has won the Laser class at the ISAF Sailing World Cup in Qingdao, China.
Chiavarini's sixth-placed finish in the yesterday's final race was enough for the 21-year-old from Bellanoch Bay in Argyll to finish 19 points clear ahead of Tonci Stipanovic, with Pavlos Kontides third.
"I was a bit nervous," he said. "But once I got out on the water everything started calming down. The track was shorter so the gains were less today."
