GREGG WYLDE reckons Derek Adams can bring out the best in him at Plymouth this season.

The former Rangers kid has made the move south after leaving St Mirren following their relegation from the Ladbrokes Premiership last term.

Wylde has also been on the books of Bolton and Aberdeen since he left Ibrox three years ago after winning the SPL title and League Cup.

He has agreed a one-year deal to join the Pilgrims and is relishing the chance to work alongside Adams next term.

Wylde said: “I know Derek very well from Scotland, so I’m looking forward to the challenge. People don’t realise how well he’s done in Scotland at Ross County – on a low budget as well.

“He took them to a Scottish Cup final, won a couple of leagues, won Manager of the Year, so he’s a great boss.

“He’s tried to get me a few times so I’m just delighted to be here, and looking forward to kicking on.”
