Staff at a Lanarkshire hospital have told how they thought a surprise call from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was an April Fool joke.
The Royal couple called University Hospital Monklands on Wednesday to thank NHS staff for their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.
