A FUNDRAISER has been launched to get a woman a new mobility scooter after she lost hers in a horrific fall into the canal.

The JustGiving page has already raised £650 towards a new scooter for Angela Doran, who was rescued from the Forth and Clyde canal on Sunday night.

Her niece, Lesley Butler set up the page so that Angela could get back on the move again.

She needs the scooter to get around and to visit her husband, John, who has recently been moved into a home with dementia.

In the description for the event, Lesley wrote: "Without this mobility scooter Angie can't do any of the things that make her happy.

"Angie is also in bad health herself and seeing her husband John twice a week at his home is her main priority and it's the only thing that makes her happy."
