A number of residents at a Bishopbriggs care home have sadly died due to Covid-19.

A total of 29 residents and 14 employees at Mavisbank Care Home currently test positive for the virus.

Due to privacy concerns, the care home could not outline how many elders have died, but confirmed the number is below five.

The news comes shortly after the watchdog Care Inspectorate ordered a deep clean of the building, blasting conditions as "weak".
