Glasgow City Council has issued advice to residents on how to recycle Christmas trees this year.
Starting the New Year with a green foot forward, the local authority has provided recycling points for locals to dispose of real Christmas trees.
Trees can be taken to the following locations from January 3 until January 31:
- Alexandra Park, off Alexandra Parade, car park next to the golf course
- Pollok Country Park, Burrell Car Park
- Kelvingrove Park, Kelvin Way, grass area opposite the bandstand

Otherwise, for households with a brown bin, real Christmas trees can be placed in bins for kerbsides for collections.
Glasgow City Council has asked residents who are placing trees on kerbsides to cut the tree into manageable pieces and ensure that the lid will close and the tree is not wedged into the bin.
