HEARTBROKEN pals of a dad who slipped on ice and later passed away have paid tribute to a "lifelong friend".
Kevin Kelly lost his life on Sunday following a fall on Motherwell's Shields Drive in the early hours of New Year's Day.
Kevin, in his 40s, was taken to Wishaw Hospital after being found by a passer-by but died a few days later.

Now, his friends have set-up a fundraising page to coin in cash in his honour and to support the father-of-five's family.
Writing on a GoFundMe page, his pals said said: "As most of our friends will know we sadly lost a lifelong friend Kevin Kelly after he tragically slipped on ice.
“Kevin leaves behind five children, his dad, two brothers, two sisters in laws and his wee beloved niece Kirsten.
“I know it’s just after Christmas and money is tight for everyone but if you could just spare a few quid to try and help his family out at this most distressing and tragic time.

“All donations would be appreciated no matter how small, let’s try and take the burden of his heartbroken family. Thank you in advance.”
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Around 2.30am on Friday, 1 January, 2021, police received report of a man having fallen on Shields Drive in Motherwell.
"The man was conveyed by ambulance to Wishaw General Hospital, where he later died.
"There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
