A FLOOD alert is in place across Glasgow with a new storm set to bring heavy rain and snow.
The wave of wintery showers set to pound the country this week has been dubbed "Storm Christoph" by meteorologists, with people warned to brace themselves for a period of very unsettled weather.
Some areas of the UK could see up to 200mm of rain over the first half of the week, although at this time this is not expected to hit Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

Still, Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) bosses have issued a flood alert for West Central Scotland, which includes the city and the likes of Paisley, Cumbernauld, and Motherwell.
A spokesman said: "Persistent rainfall is expected to move into southern Scotland during the early hours of Tuesday and will continue for much of the day.
"There is some uncertainty about where the heaviest rain will occur, and how much will fall as snow.

"However, flooding of low-lying land and roads is possible from small rivers and surface water, particularly in known trouble spots. There could also be disruption to travel."
It comes shortly after Glasgow and Central Scotland was hit by heavy snowfall, black ice, and fog.
