CANNABIS farms estimated to be worth almost £270,000 have been busted from two flats. 

Search warrants were executed to the properties on Quarry Street Road in Hamilton on Monday.

Officers discovered a large quantity of cannabis plants in both properties.

Constable John Tennyson from Larkhall Police Station said: “This was a significant recovery and enquiries are ongoing to trace the person or persons responsible.

“Drugs can have a devastating impact on communities and we would continue to encourage members of the public to support our efforts to tackle this issue.

“Any intelligence received about drugs activity will be thoroughly investigated and information can be reported to Police Scotland through 101.
