A MAN is expected to appear in court charged in connection with the death of a woman.
The 54-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene yesterday morning when cops were called to Torrance Avenue, Airdrie.
They had received a report of an alleged serious assault.
A 60-year-old man was arrested and charged.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police Scotland can confirm that a 60-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 54-year-old woman in Airdrie.
"Officers had received a report of a serious assault within a property on Torrance Avenue, around 10.45am on Sunday, 4 July. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The 60-year-old man is expected to appear in court today."
