KIND-HEARTED Kelvindale youngsters have come together to help raise money and gifts for Afghan refugees preparing to call Glasgow home.

The children have written welcome letters to children who have been forced to flee their homes to escape the Taliban.

Youngsters spent their Saturday afternoon holding a garden sale to finance their efforts after reading about the plight of desperate families arriving in Glasgow.

Among the items were toys, bags, art supplies and school items for when the youngsters are ready to get back into the classroom.

While around £700 was raised in just two hours of the sale.
