A SCHOOLBOY has been charged following an incident near a Glasgow school that allegedly involved a fake gun.
A clip of the incident emerged on social media this week and was reported to Police Scotland by Glasgow City Council.
Council bosses confirmed that no pupils were at risk, and the video was not filmed on school premises.
For legal reasons, the school near to where the video was filmed cannot be named.
The 14-year-old boy involved has been charged under the Criminal Justice Act, meanwhile, another 14-year-old boy has also been charged under the Communications Act.

Both of the teenagers have been referred to the Early and Effective Interventions Co-ordinator.
A spokesperson for Glasgow City Council said: “The video was reported to Police Scotland and Prevent as soon as we were made aware of it. The video was not filmed on school premises and we can confirm that no young person at the school was at risk.
"The school’s campus police officer will be liaising with their police colleagues and the school’s senior management team to offer support and advice."
Meanwhile, a Police Scotland spokesperson said: “As a result of enquiries carried out by officers, a 14-year-old boy has been charged under the Criminal Justice Act.
“Additionally, a 14-year-old boy has been charged under the Communications Act. Both boys have been referred to the Early and Effective Interventions Co-ordinator."
