Lewis Capaldi has begun 'leaking' demos of his unreleased songs ahead of his new album coming out.

The 26-year-old singer joked that his record label would 'go crazy' as he shared a clip of a song he didn't plan to release.

Sharing the clip on TikTok, he wrote: "Posting demos of songs that will probably never see the light of day."

The lyrics of the never-before-heard song appear on the screen, reading: "I wanna turn back time, tell you I'm wrong/ Don't wanna waste my nights singing sad songs.

"I'll spend a lifetime wishing I'd stayed/ But it's a little too late to tell you that babe."

The video has since received a huge response from fans who are keen for Lewis to go ahead and release the demo, as one person commented: "Lewis the full demo needs to see the light of day. I'm invested."

Another said: "Lewis I need this song like right now."

A third added: "Ok but this is actually great, please make it happen."

It comes ahead of the release of Lewis' second studio album, Broken by Desire to be Heavenly Sent, in May.
