A NEW showhome has opened at a development of townhouses in Glasgow.

The showhome is now open at Maltings Wynd in Dundashill, which has a collection of 78 three and four-bedroom properties for sale.

Built on the site of the former Diageo distillery, the three-storey red-brick-clad townhouses designed by Ann Nisbet Studio were thoughtfully created to reflect and complement the heritage of Dundashill.

A generous hallway leads to an open-plan kitchen/ diner and living room on the ground floor, which also benefits from a WC and ample storage range.

The staircase to the first floor of the townhouse features built-in bookcases.

On this floor, there is a utility space for a washing machine, two double bedrooms and a fully-fitted family bathroom.

Moving up to the top floor, one of the jewels in this townhouse's crown is a large, fully-decked south-facing terrace, accessed from the large landing via French doors, as well as a third double bedroom with views across the city and a shower room.

The landing is spacious enough to be used as a home-working space.

Development partners igloo and Housing Growth Partnership have opened the doors to the showhome to showcase Maltings Wynd, which is the second phase of homes to be delivered at Dundashill, with the first phase being apartments for mid-market rent.

Peter Connolly, CEO of igloo, said: "We are delighted to have opened the new showhome at Maltings Wynd, which allows us to showcase our new townhouses, in a development that, unusually, blends urban living with green space and a lifestyle quite unique to Glasgow's canal.

"Dundashill is now, thanks to new infrastructure, really well connected to Glasgow city centre and the West End, whilst at the same time being an oasis of green and blue space.

"With a watersports centre quite literally on its doorstep, as well as great cycle and walking routes along Glasgow's canal, we are already seeing high demand for these homes."

Malting's Wynd neighbourhood includes the new Claypits Nature Reserve, Everyday Athlete Gym, Glasgow Wake Park and the Glasgow Tool Library, to which buyers will be gifted a membership.

The showhome viewing is strictly by appointment only, through Jennifer Thomson at Clyde Property West End, 0141 571 3777.

Prices start at £297,500.
