A WOMAN has died after taking unwell at a Paisley retail park earlier today.

As we have reported earlier, emergency services rushed to Phoenix Retail Park on Linwood Road just before 12.30pm today and the area was cordoned off.

Police Scotland has confirmed that a woman had taken unwell and was rushed to Royal Alexandra Hospital, where she had died.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received report of a woman having taken unwell within a premises at Phoenix Retail Park in Paisley around 12.20pm on Thursday, April 14, 2022.

“The woman was conveyed to Royal Alexandra Hospital where she died a short time later.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
