TWO men were taken to hospital after a fight with a group of young people on Glasgow's George Square.

Emergency services were called to the city centre square after reports of two men lying injured on the ground at 4.30am on Saturday, April 16.

The two men, aged 20 and 22, were transported to Glasgow Royal Infirmary to treat their head injuries.

As part of the investigation, police officers have been reviewing CCTV footage from in and around George Square and have identified a group of youths, several of whom were fighting with one another in the corner of George Square, near Hanover Street.

They are asking the public's help to identify the youngsters.

Constable Christopher Perrett said: “I appreciate that some time has passed since this incident but I am asking members of the public for help and to think back and consider if they saw a group of men fighting in George Square in the early hours of the morning.

"I know there are people out there who know what happened and I am asking them to please get in touch with any information. Any small detail could prove significant in our investigation.”
