A HUGE new sports shop could open in Glasgow's Buchanan Street in place of two former stores.
Glasgow City Council is currently considering plans submitted by JD Sports to occupy the retail units previously used by Gap and Paperchase.
Proposed by Michael Laird Architects, the two-storey shop will also feature a DJ booth.

The potential move comes after Paperchase moved to a smaller unit after being on the 'brink of collapse' while Gap closes all UK and Ireland stores.
We previously reported that Buchanan Street is to undergo a transformation with the demolition of Buchanan Galleries and the creation of ground-level, street-entry shops.
There are still several empty units in Buchanan Galleries and on the street, including the Gap and Paperchase spaces, Topshop and Burton.
