A plane travelling from Faro to Glasgow was forced to divert, just minutes after takeoff.
The flight left the Portugal city at 9.33pm last night but was forced to turn around shortly after leaving the country's airspace.
It was scheduled to land in Scotland at 11.55pm, after completing the 2,113 km journey.

On social media, reports suggest that the pilot declared an emergency mid-air.

It is not know what the nature of the emergency was.

Plane-tracking website FlightRadar demonstrates the route of the flight, showing that it diverted after circling the air twice above the Atlantic Ocean, reportedly to save fuel.
EasyJet have been contacted for comment.
